Northampton County Schools Takeover Day at Chowan University!

What an amazing day of learning, exploring, and dreaming big for our students from Northampton County High School and Northampton County Early College!

It is an honor to spotlight Marilyn D. Lawrence, Principal of Northampton County Early College, for National Principals Month.

A proud graduate of Franklin City Public Schools (Class of 1982), Mrs. Lawrence went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Christopher Newport University (1987), a Master of Education in School Administration from Cambridge College (2008), and a Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University (2017). She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Expository Preaching and Teaching at Liberty University Online, with an expected graduation in December 2026.

Beginning Teacher Spotlight: Mr. Jerald Estime

This week, we are proud to shine a spotlight on Mr. Jerald Estime, who is beginning his teaching career at Northampton County Early College. Mr. Estime teaches Sports & Events Marketing, a Career and Technical Education (CTE) course that introduces students to the fast-growing world of sports, entertainment, and business.
